As I understand it, they are quicker through every frequency. Bigger and more modern magnets seems to be the cure. Even in the tweeter..

I have never been able to warm up to ANY of the 800 line of B&W with the Diamond tweeter. I have heard them with varying equipment, in an acoustically treated room, but that tweeter has always been very very bright to me. Again, I dont claim to speak for everyone, but as much as I wanted that massive center HTM1D and some 802Ds, I never could get over even brief auditions with the tweeter in the Ds.
Same here, i find the tweeters of the BWs calling attention to itself. Its very prominent.
The Wilsons I heard are more coherent.

That is why it is the system that counts as a whole, and not 1 particular piece. That is the fundamental key to getting the most of each component. I will take a $25K system that has been carefully matched together, than a $50K system that is put together without research and thought.

I've heard the BW800, BW801s, BW802 both diamond and non-diamond tweeters. Tubes, s/s, hybrid systems. Sad to say, the high's just gets into the way.
No go for me.
