Ivan, absolutely. Every time I play our vinyl version for boss-girl she just sits transfixed. It's like you can her the space in the upright bass, just amazing! If memory serves, we first heard it when demo'ing audio gear, and while it's an excellent demo piece, the music is really wonderful. TY's piano on this and other albums is top-notch straight-ahead jazz.

This got a Klara Award this week, division 'World Music'.
Fine, intimate music.


Listening to this lovely album via Qobuz. Brahem can sometimes be a little too slow and introspective for me, but the addition of Holland and DeJohnette provide a great counterbalance and some rhythmic drive.
