Yesterday I hooked the CB6 i for the first time !
I received my Pioneer SC LX 81 AV amp. Source was the BDP SC LX71.
Great great sounding is this speaker !! Voices are crystal clear.
Great match with the EB1i.

Congrats!

The CB6 gets out of the way. It has that bass and seemless panning across. Left to right, front to back.

What color finish do you have?

Walnut Levi, like my EB1i.

Are you using your EB1i's with the pioneer now? Or are you still running them through your 501's?

My hunch, he has the same setup configuration I have...HT Bypass on the preamp If that is true then, He is using his McIntosh for the EB1i's, Pioneer for the CB6i and surrounds.

I am waiting on a BDP-09FD price drop to replace my new Denon 3800BDCi!

Good guess Levi !! thanks for the nice comments.
It would be a shame to use the Pioneer to drive the EB1i's and let the 501's sleeping !
So yes, I'm using the passthrough mode of the C1000P to drive the front EB1is with the 501's. The Pioneer "Ice Power" 170 W modules take care of the CB6 i and the surround speakers which are by this time the Linn Keilidhs.
But I 'm looking to buy new dipole surround speakers, especially the Kef IQ8ds : Rear/Surround & Satellite Speakers at Superfi Online - http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/category.cfm/special/1/category/40.
They should sound OK I guess....

My experience tells me, surround speakers does not need to match the center and main specially in movie watching.

I love Paris! I actually visited audio boutique and auditioned Cremona speakers and a French made cd player. It is cheaper to buy them in France. Equally the same buying Naim gears in UK.
