Well this combo of Sky/Meteor was wonderful. That said it just don't represent some things that they Elation and Emotion seem to capture. It's almost that in AQ's attempt to remove distortion and noise maybe it is removing to much of the natural harmonics of instruments. I suppose its an age old argument but all instruments seemingly have Natural harmonic distortion and if that isn't there it just seems a bit flat at points. The bass with these cables was very good, female vocals very good, but the more I got into multiple instruments the more it just seems to lack that natural flavor of the instrument. It sounds good and very detailed but its just not alive for some reason with these cables in my system. Maybe synergy, who knows. I do think these are great cables but just don't think they are for me and my system.

The farther you move up the line with AQ cables, the less distortion you get with the signal transfer from source thru the cables to the receiving component. This is done by using increasing material-quality, better geometry/construction, thicker guage conducters, increased effectiveness of insulation, etc... Regardless of brand and price, if it sounds better it is better, and I have no doubts that you know exactly what you're listening for.
