Did it ever occur to you; your system, room, or ears can't resolve the difference.

Then again, why do I bother.

Consider yourself lucky if you can't hear the difference... I heard a noticeable enough difference between Audioquest and Transparent in my own system to know which cables I strongly prefer. Keep in mind that when evaluating cables, the chain is only as strong as the weakest link. Try outfitting your whole system with either of the brands you mentioned, not just an IC here and there.... then come back and tell us what you heard.

I have been converting, I have found transparent overpriced, audioquest just doesnt do it. WW uh, maybe, but I have been very happy with DH labs silver series. so far, they have been awesome and cheap. I honestly cannot hear a difference between transparent and WW. I would be glad to visit Stallone and compare them and bring my DH labs silver cheapies for comparison. maybe ill learn something. I do have a $50,000+ system. but i dont use fancy words like organic, synergy, sweet spot, etc. it either sounds good or it doesnt.

Man you guys are on a roll here, ha... Someone struck a nerve I suppose. It comes down to a good listen for a few days. I can tell the difference so far in the three cables I've put in, still can't make a decision as to which one I will have. I have to do a listen again to 3 of the sets and hope to get at-least one or two of them in this weekend.

Actually the cable thing for me started when I bought a counterfeit audioquest HDMI-3 cable on ebay. should have known it was fake coming from china for $20. but then I purchased a real audioquest HDMI-3 cable for $300. did an a/b/ with some friends and not a single person out of 5 could tell the difference between the real and the fake cable. so what are we really buying? its a simple question. Your checkbook notices a difference but visually there was none. Audioquest even posted a pdf about the counterfeits but dont take my word, buy one for yourself and test it. you can always re-sell it on ebay.

Nothing bad about either company, in fact I was happy when audioquest cut there power cable to compare with my DH labs. after finding we heard NO difference (from the rep and sales person) other than price it appears even the audio rep agreed with me. Now I have to work on the transparent rep..lol Ill break this conspiracy wide open. write a book and make a cool $5. lol
What model Audioquest RCA cable did you take apart, just curious how far up the product line you're listening to and disassembling?

I took apart an older Monster M1000 and M850i. took the ends off and compared wire thickness, insulation, etc. Audioquest version King Cobra and Columbia. Not saying either are better or worse. Years ago all sales people were pushing Monster as the best cable ever. After taking them apart and looking to see how they are really made internally, its quite a surprise. There isn't much there. Same with power cables. Some believe they make a difference others dont. you have to conduct your own tests and let your ears decide. Of course whatever brand they sell is the best. Just ask your salesperson. you get the same answer "We tested many brands and we sell only the best" same with their choice of amps and speakers. But when you start getting into the guts and seeing whats really inside you realize the price difference and what your really paying for. There is NO "BEST" cable, speaker brand or amp. It depends on what YOU prefer but for some when you go against the norm and ask WHY? people become very defensive. My Dr. friend owns $200,000+ in Mac equipment and speakers and you better not talk crap about mac in front of him. Of course his Formula Boat is also the best as well. Not to get off subject, but you hear it everywhere. whatever someone owns, is the best, the rest is crap although we know many manufacturers copy each others design. The PS3 Blu Ray player alone is better than many stand alone blu ray only players. Rotel, Mac, Monster, etc all make power conditioners with major cost diff. who's is the best and why? or are they all the same on the inside just a diff. exterior name. Alot of consumers purchase by name brand... that's a proven fact.

Have you tried the lamp cord from Home Depot yet? There are guys out there who swear by it. You can even get the ones with the thumb switch so you can turn your speakers off that way.
