Default Cardas Certification Service

I recently purchased some Cardas goodies from audiogon from 3 different sources...

The first to arrive was a 1m pair of Golden Reference XLR's...

No certificate
the text on the cable itself almost rubbed or faded away.

So for those of you that aren't aware of this.. You can send any cables to Cardas to be certified for a very low price of 25 bucks. And for this, they will issue a certificate of authenticity and repackage it for you. You just can't beat the service.

I arranged everything this morning, and I can say everyone I spoke to at Cardas seemed absolutely wonderful and polite. I was also comforted to hear that the fading on the Golden Reference cables imperticular is known issue for that cable and is likely not a fake based on that information.

Additionally the guy that sold me the Cables, called me when he got the message I was sending them to Cardas to let me know, I need to call Cardas First and get an RA number. (which I had already done, but he didn't know that.). The fact that he would call me with good information like that puts my heart at ease further... And if does turn out to be a fake, he'll refund me. (hopefully).

And best case Senario, I get the Cardas Cables back with a Certificate of Authenticity for an excellent bargain in my opinion.

Poobah....Cardas is a great company. Darla, Linda, Colleen are helpful and super nice. George designs are legendary. The certificate has helped many that buy used Cardas and provides a peace of mind. Great cables, nice people and wonderful sound. Enjoy your new cables and let us know your findings.

Some day I will do just that... However right now my system is in the midst of upheaval. lol

Once I finally get that MX150 installed... I'll be able to hook everything up and give everything a chance to settle in. Heck I haven't even been able to take a photo of my system (can't wait to do that as-well). And now I'm seriously considering adding a Tube Preamp in with some sort of Pass-through option, that I haven't wrapped my head around yet. I have so many changes going on I hardly know what my system will sound like when it's all done.

.. Or should I replace my Servo 15 with a ASW855 before the Preamp? lol... when does it all end.
