Name a great DVD-A/SACD player?
Besides the Oppo, Denon, & Marantz. What's a great universal player under $1000? Currently, I am eyeing the BDP-95, but sales tax make it over $1000 so I'm hoping to get some advice on others.

Mike.......I don't think there's another universal player that can hold a candle to the Oppo BDP-95 for $1000.00. Even if you have to pay sales tax, the Oppo BDP-95 is the way to go at that price point.

Oppo is top of my list, but I just hate paying full retail and sales tax on top.

Mike.......You can always buy something cheaper at a discount, be disappointed, and regrete not buying the BDP-95. Then when you finally do buy the Oppo BDP-95 you'll be pissed off that you wasted the money on the first purchase instead of going with what you wanted to begin with. It doesn't sound like the best way to go if you ask me.

Mike.....You know that the 95 is on my list as well. Try paying full list and shipping to the Islands minus the sales tax.
mmm....I actually think shipping it here might be cheaper than the sales tax.  Is it 9.5% ??? Holy cow

9.75% in San Francisco.
Looks like the 95 is the clear winner. Thanks for the Audio Advisor recommendation. I totally forgot about them. I don't have a 1080p TV, do you think I can see a difference using Blu Ray? I have no plans to upgrade the TV. I'm not much of a videophile. The only BR disc I may own will be Back to the Future Trilogy.
