The only visually triggered migraines I have ever had occurred while viewing 3D. I can bring them on faster if I change seats or move my head a lot.

I just purchased the newest Panasonic 56" inch Plasma 3 weeks ago and the only way I could get the features I wanted was to have it 3D capable. I have NO interest in ever trying that feature out in my living room.

Well, I said that I had zero interest in 3D, but in reality, I think that if somehow I ever took possession of a television set with that capability, I'm absolutely sure that I'd have to try it out . . . and, friend hkval, I'll bet that you'll sneak a peek too!

I haven't had any real interest in 3D but now that I have a TV that has the capabilty, I'm kind of curious about it. I don't have the glasses or the player anyway, and it's low priority. But I love the set for 2D and HD. I really like my Sony KDL-55EX720.

I subscribe to and read Home Theater Magazine. When this whole 3D thing started they raved about it and said it was the next big thing. I didn't get it. Sure, maybe at Imax on a few movies but not at home. They made all kinds of predictions on how well it would do but I for one couldn't see it. The fact that most consumers had just gotten on board to Blu Ray and purchased new equipment to see it doomed 3D from the start in my humble opinion.

I love it at Imax and suffer no ill effects but would not want it at home. Having said all that, some people love it and are willing to spend to have it. I for one am glad they have that choice, it's just not for me. To each his own.

I have to say this is a very good point, one that I've considered more than once. And speaking just for myself, I'm not too thrilled with the idea of having to replace my Blu ray player that's only a bit over a year old just to check out the 3D stuff.

We realize that technology does march on but people don't really like to have to replace their gear every time they turn around.

The Panasonic plasmas are fine TVs, 2D or 3D. If you have the Panasonic, you should or could have Avatar in 3D. Right now Avatar is an exclusive with Panasonic. For any who tried it at the IMAX and liked it, I think you will be surprised at home.

I wanted the Oppo 95 for the downstairs system where the Pansonic 3D is. It all worked out, soundwise and videowise.
