Default Nordost Sort Cones
Nordost dedicated one room to display and demonstrate their resonance control Sort Cones which was quite impressive. The demo lasted approx 30 minutes with indepth discussion on their makeup, the various stages (they have 4 levels of sort cones), and placement on specific components.

I'll just dither in the titanium sort cone as that model proved to practically everyone who attended the demonstration(s) that placement under the Moon CDP cleared up any signal smearing and distortion which resulted in a blacker background, clearer, more transparency and dynamic range. Let's just say, jumping from the CDP with no sort kones to the titanium was a jaw dropper. (*** I attended the demo on Sat and again on Sunday).

I believe I'll purchase a few for the CDP & Pre and go from there.

If the pricing on Music Direct is right the TC (Titanium) version sells for $349 per cone. So a set of 3 will run you $1047. The AS base model runs at $65 per cone or $195 for a set of 3.

If I got anything out of RMAF -- it was these that impressed. Rather expensive -- definitely; but, I've heard power & signal cables that performed less than what these do.

The AC (Cermanic versions) would fit the bill under amps IMO. If deep pockets, then go TC there too (but I have to stop somewhere--besides the MC2301's would need probably 10 AC's ((5 per amp)).

Broke down and ordered 10 AC's for the amps. These cones BTW can support 200 pounds each. Will be delivered with all the other goodies in a few weeks.
