I think their new all in one stereo system is supposed to be Elite. The Hi fi shop near me only sells Naim, Musical fidelity top end B&W's and Senn 800's though.

2 Kuros here, a BD-player (aging now and slow in comparison to the Oppo, but very good image), and a receiver.
The plasmas will not likely be replaced.

I've owned several Pioneer Elite products:

A couple of Elite rear projection TV's (one of my children is still using one of them)

A DV 79AVi Universal Disc Player - and a son is using this as his main squeeze.

And I still own a "super good" Pioneer Elite F-91 tuner and a CT-91 Cassette tape player.

And the best of the lot, an Elite A-91D integrated amplifier - which was an incredibly good integrated amp, and another son is using it in his stereo system. The A-91D includes two D/A converters for digital direct sound (Never tried them so I don't know how good they were and I'm sure my son never has)

Think I'll consider calling in all the "loans" to children. That is some really good stuff.

Maybe not state of the art, but the Elite stuff has always been way above average and near high end in looks, feel, construction and performance plus they were all built to last "forever".

TAD is superb

I also have an emotional and strong relationship with Pioneer as it's the brand of the "HiFi" system my parents bought (after my request) when I was a kid. They still have it and plays remarkably well (although I may be biased by memories in this appreciation).

Former owner of a Pioneer Elite DVD/BluRay player. It gave me great service until it gave it up just a month or so ago.

Another satisfied Kuro plazma owner. I also have an older Pioneer Elite M91 amp that still works great. It is a beast.

I've had a few Elite pieces - CD and DVD players as well as TV. I was under the impression that they stopped making TV and, just about shutdown operations.

What is their current product line up?

Had a Pioneer Elite 55" rear projection tv which at the time had an incredible picture and also I still have a CLD-97 Laserdisc player(remember those???). Both served me very well!
