Default ΞTRON Viper Series?

Hi Caelin, I'm thinking of purchasing a PS8 and Defender next year and I was just wondering if there will ever be different ΞTRON Viper flavors such as Digital, HC, Source, etc. (similar to what you have going with the Venom and Alpha lines)? If not I will go with the Venom HC for the PS8, as I can't afford the next step up to the Alpha Range HC.

Thanks for the feedback!

We do not plan to introduce the noise reduction capabilities into the VIPER. Due to the simpler construction of the VIPER it is just not feasible. The VENOM HC was designed specifically for the VENOM PS8 and is an excellent high current cable.

Hi Caelin, just checking prices on musicdirect.com I see that the ΞTRON Viper costs roughly the same as the Venom Digital.

Would there be any advantage to using the ΞTRON Viper on my DAC over the Venom Digital?

This is what I have in mind:

SR-Z1 Outlet > Defender > Venom HC > PS8 - as the foundation.

And then I need 4 additional cables as well for:

(1) McIntosh C220 Preamp,
(2) McIntosh D100 DAC,
(3) Decware Taboo MK II (Single Ended Pentode @ 6 watts),
(4) 65 " Samsung HDTV (this has a 90 degree plug as it's mounted on the wall).

The highest my budget will allow for the components above would be the Viper at $399 ... Can you please recommend the cables for each component above within the $399 or below range?

Thanks in advance for your time!

The US retail prices of the VENOM DIGITAL is $395 and the VIOER is $595. If you can get the VIPER for $399 that is quite a good deal.

I would use the VENOM DIGITAL on any transport, CDP, or DAC. Then use the VIPER or VENOM-HC for the preamp and amplifiers.
