Smile Making Changes, Going Big
Awhile back, I was looking and deciding on a new A/V stand. Many good options were presented. I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Salamander Triple 30 337. Now comes the laborious job of disconnecting and moving all my components from the back room to their new home in the Salamander. I've been procrastinating doing this, and I have this big empty stand in the middle of my room taunting me. No need to rush into it...

To throw more caution to the wind (cuz that's how I roll ) I decided to put my Pioneer Kuro on the auction block and go front projection. After watching a Harry Potter movie with my kids awhile back, I said to myself, "it's time to kick it up a notch." It's definitely a big step for me. I've never had nor really even played with a front projector before. So I started doing a bunch of research, not only on projectors but on screens as well, they're just as important. Rock n roll.

Lol. Garlic makes everything better. Including HT. I like to rub a clove or two on my screen, and put a few behind my 501s. Makes them happy, happy.

Yeah, the new Pannys should be nice. However, did you happen to see this little tidbit?

Everytime I fire up my Kuro I'm blown away by it's picture. I have both ISF-Day and ISF-Night professionally calibrated, as well the "Pure" mode too. I'm hoping I can get close to the Kuro picture, only much, much larger.

I actually enjoy my G90 CRT as much as, or more than my Kuro.

Correct calibration is key, but you already knew that...
