Ud 8004

Hi Gang,
I guess you could say I have full blown Lu Flu.
I currently have the UD 8004 which has HDMI and stereo outs. I have read several places about which one to use for audio listening and there seems to be a deadlock. Would there be any sonic gain by using the analog stereo outputs?

It really depends on the quality of DACs in your AV8003. If they are better than the ones in the UD8004, then you won't get better sound by using analog stereo output on the UD8004. You can always experiment it yourself. Connect a set of interconnect between your blu-ray player and processor and see how it sounds.

Will check on that I imagine that the UD has the better DAC .

From my reading on the internet, the UD does indeed have very nice DACs.
