I have a pair of Classic 80.2 for test now.

Sold my Sopra 3.

I really like the 80.2. Very nice midrange and treble coax driver, combined with bass reflex 2x10 inch woofers that have good response down to 22 hz in my room.

They have all the positives from the Sopra 3 and my old Infinity Kappa 9.2i.
A modern version of the Infinity IRS Sigma perhaps? With more headroom than the Sigmas overall.
They are not fatiguing and can play very loud without distorting. They play all kinds of music very well.

Best regards Dag

Has anyone heard these speakers? That is a novel approach -- a 'coaxial' ribbon solution?

They were at RMAF 2018, and sounded very good with Airtight electronics. I don’t recall if they were there last year.

I used to own a pair of Piega C10 Ltd. with their coaxial ribbon midrange/tweeter. They are very good sounding speakers with a high level of resolution and stable imaging. Technically they're not what I would call 'true ribbons', rather the coaxial driver is a planar magnetic design with the tweeter section formed in the middle of the surrounding midrange area. They are a unique design with many attractive sonic attributes.
