Separately, Fabiano, as I think your take on it is right on target. I'd give the power cord at least 200, and preferably 300, hours to "cook," based on my experience with two Electra 5-squareds, each of which I burned in separately (or successively) so I could determine the PC's effect on, first, the line stage and then on the digital player with the line stage already "Electra'd". Doing it that way enabled me to ascertain that the PC's positive effect was additive.

You might want to sequence your IC and SC installations so that you do the IC first, let it burn in, then install the SC. I know that would require a lot of patience, but, as you say, you'd get a very good fix on what each cable brings to the performance table.

I will post a fuller post on this later with more details. Right now I am using only the damping plate. I still need to install the couplers. I wanted to have everything on before saying anything, but with only the plate on top, I saw better spacement between the instruments / increase in resolution. I could pin point them a little easier. I report back with more complete evalutation later on.

Hey Fabiano, looks like your having some fun. For mine & if I were you I'd jamb the whole lot in there & get the break-in done & dusted. Once that is done then start from the beginning with the old & keep adding until completely outfitted to where you have all new. Same result, less masochism.

Graham/Kevin, that would be ideal really. My only but is that switching speaker cable at home is 4/5 hours job. Plus, both cables cannot co-exist. So the SC switch will be final. But the exercise is easily doable when it comes to the IC.

Great thread and add me to list looking forward to hearing your feedback when you get to the SC and IC's. I tried the Monacle XL in my system once and was absolutely blown away at how much better they sounded compared to my Ixos cables and have been on my short list for when the time comes to upgrade ever since. Having come across AA since then and continually reading the great things here about Wire World cables even though I have never heard any Wire World product the Silver Eclipse 6 IC and SC along with the Silver Electra 5 Squared PC have been added to the short list as well.
