Default Seeking nice sounding 92+db bookshelf size speaker?

Seeking a truly nice sounding 92+db bookshelf size speakers to go along with a 7-10 watt Triode tube amplifier - does it actually exist... new or vintage or kit, does not matter;

What have you tried?

What's your favorite?

Many of us like Omegas. Roscoe65 did a nice summary of some of the differences between Louis' models:

Edit: You linked here from the Inspire thread. When I say "many of us", I mean Inspire owners.

Look at Reference 3A monitors. Very good for the money. I think they're all 95db.

Only $12,000, wow, I've only been looking at the $60,000 bookshelf model. What was I thinking... Good grief.

Geeze, my triode tube amp is about 1/8 th the cost of those Reflector speakers. I can build a set again if I have to, but hoping to find something already proven, at a reasonable price, for us low-end folks. This is just for a den room system, low-level evening listening. I already have my main system covered with way too many tubes and giant speakers. Looking at downsized set of speakers. Guess I need to re-state the requirement. Sorry about that...

Those Omegas are nice, like those so far!

Okay, how about tube friendly efficient bookshelf speakers for under $2,000, say in the $1,500 range.

Is it a requirement that it actually sit on a shelf or do you just want a speaker that is relatively small and compact? Or, can the speaker be a floor standing speaker?

Default A large dedicated audio room would be nice.

Great question and thanks for asking. I have two sets of speakers now, trying to sandwich in a 3rd set of speakers for a small tube amp system all in the same rack/room. I effectively want to run 3 different systems in all in the same room.

A) BOOKSHELF option:
I'd like it to be an on-stand (i.e. bookshelf/model) model as a first option, so I can swap with another set (on stands) to play it. And, when not in use, I'll pull it off the stand and put it on a shelf when not in use. I may be able to make a floor stand unit work, but it will be tight. Its gonna get sandwiched in/out between my existing main (custom) speakers on my large system and my current Totem Acoustic I use for my home theater and wifey audio listening. Hard to explain, it's a space issue. Also, was attempting to use my existing target stands.

B) FLOORSTANDING option:
I'd have to move my Totem Model 1 Signature speakers off the stands to audio rack near Totem Center channel. I could do this, its a bit tight, but trying to avoid it. Or, sell all my Totem Model One Signature speakers, trying to avoid it but it is a last option.

ROOM SIZE:
The outer room area is about 14'wide x 19' long. Listing space is a 12" triangle between the speakers and listening position.

I agree with Serge. The Zu ticks all the boxes.

Something to consider when choosing a speaker for a single-ended triode - the minimum impedance of the speaker is often of more importance than the overall efficiency rating.

Another speaker to try: The Devore Gibbon 3XL or Gibbon X if you want to eliminate the need for a stand. Lovely, natural sounding speakers.
