Stillpoint adaptors for Shunyata

Just a question for either John or Caelin if at all possible.

I currently have 4 x Ultra 5s currently under both my Shunyata Cyclops but I am considering trying thread adaptors to see if the direct fixing the U5s into the conditioners makes a positive difference. I have used reasonable mass loading and the U5s are sounding exceptional under the Cyclops.

I unscrewed the feet on the Shunyata and the screws seem to be 1/8 inch diameter. I'd like to have the beveled edge up on the ultra 5s and so am thinking I should order 1/2 inch - 20 to 8 - 32 adaptor. Just double checking before I put the order in.

Hi Graham,

We only make 1/4-20 to (other size) adapters. We do not make a 1/2-20 to 8/32 adapter. You would likely have to engage a local machine shop to make those for you. I think it would be a stretch to locate a vendor online that currently makes that adapter... but anything is possible.

John... will look into getting some machined up as the Ultra 5s will be permanent fixtures under all my gear but particularly under the speakers and the Shunyata conditioners.

While I usually avoid the term but the ultra 5s are in fact very real and honest game changers both in terms of resonance control and also in system gains... I now have 30 of them in place and every one of them makes a clear difference.
