Sony MDR-V6 vs. MDR-7506. There is a difference in sound. *** Pictures too ***
After reading many threads saying the V6 being the same as the 7506, I thought I do a comparison myself. I ran both headphones through my Lehmann Black Cube Linear. I chose this amp because it is very neutral with plenty of power to drive both headphones simultaneously.
There overall sound signature is the same. The MDR-7506 sounded a bit bloated in the bass department. The MDR-V6 is a bit cleaner with less midrange bump and the 7506. I like the V6 more. Other than those two things, they are the same in every way. I hope this helps. I suggest everyone to get a V6 because they're GREAT for the money.
