That defines how the latest function you discovered works. If checked, touching a letter gets you to the first album in that alphabet (w/o the ability to type further).

Thanks, I had a feeling it would be something like that. I'll check it out when I get home from work.

A few observations about tweaking the C15. I don't know why I'm surprised that it's possible. It's partly because upgrading the power cord thru an outboard brick, still offered better, deeper, and wider sound reproduction. Another is I decided to run the AES thru the tube emulator in my DAC and boy did it make difference. The soundstage relaxed, opened and gained an order of air around voices and instruments, quite delightful. Beautiful tube distortion!

Lastly (this should be a note for Ivan as well), if you're using the Speakerlink to AES cable, there are differences in cables, yes even Ethernet. I built a plenum-rated CAT-6 cable with a Neutrik XLR connector. The bigger, thicker, more shielded cable offered a noticeable improvement as well.

The sound, with the mentioned tweaks, has markedly improved my enjoyment of the Sooloos in my system. As always, YMMV.

Thumbs up Holy Moly!

A Holy Moly Tip.

I Just replaced my power cord to my twinstore with a XLO LE2 power cord (XLO's TOTL model) so that I could plug it into my PPP. Holy smokes. The Sooloos had at least a 10% improvement in my estimation.

Gotta go and listen!

Son of a Gun! Thanks Howie! I swapped PCs on the Twinstore on your observation and what do you know! A little more open and relaxed. As stated previously, I was surprised at the C15 benefitting thru it's power brick as well. Cool Beans!

My C15 is on my desk and has yet to change its PC. Do you think this will also help?? I guess it can not hurt. Gonna have to work this one out.

Indeed there is a difference in performance - as I forgot to tell you when you were over my place that ALL the Meridian gears (4 of them) are hooked up to the Shunyata Hydra 4 - with Shunyata entry level Venom 3 power cords.

Of course I did try the much more expensive ones but the improvement, to me does not justify the leap in prices. Long story short, to preserve harmony, I just go with the entry level and never regretted it.

So, I would not be surprised the XLO gave you a clear signal on music improvement.

Cheers!

I noticed a neat little feature in the Sooloos' naming convention. If two or more consecutive tracks have the same starting track information and is separated by certain characters ")" or "-", the interface creates sub categories. This feature is most helpful when tagging classical music. Often times more than one piece is contained on a CD. The new Title of the subcategory can be touched to add just the movements in the specific subcategory.

When I first saw the subcategory I thought it was from the CD being recognized by the system, but it's simply a naming convention. So you can categorize any CD you care to. Enjoy!
