They currently have the 51 for $99 pair with free ship. Is that model any good?

Based on my experience with the 41, I'd have to say it will be as good or better. Hopefully someone who more experience with them should let us know.

From the Manufacturer

Created by world-renowned speaker engineer Andrew Jones, SP-FS51-LR Floorstanding speakers offer high-performance and exceptional quality to deliver a stunning music and home theater experience.

SP-FS51-LR Specs

Enclosure Bass-reflex Floorstanding Type Configuration 3-way Frequency Range 45 Hz - 20 kHz Nominal Impedance 6 Ohms Sensitivity (2.83 V) 87 dB Maximum Input Power 130 W Crossover Frequency 2.5 kHz Dimensions (W x H x D) 7-7/8" x 31-1/2" x 8-11/16" Weight (each) 22 lbs 4 oz Woofer Triple 5 1/4" Tweeter 1" Even when you don’t have a fortune to spend on speakers, it’s easy to set your sights higher starting from the ground up.
Introducing the new SP-FS51-LR Floor Standing Speakers from Pioneer.
Designed with uncompromising attention to detail, these speakers are ideal for home theater systems, offering remarkable audio quality from Blu-ray Disc® CD’s, DVD’s, gaming and any other audio source. Using three woofers with oversized magnets for powerful bass, they deliver the kind of high performance and exceptional quality that makes for a stunning music and home theater experience.
Over 7 Decades of Passion for Audio

Pioneer has been the industry leader in audio design and engineering firsts for over 70 years. Designed by Pioneer’s Chief Speaker Engineer Andrew Jones, these speakers embody all his high-end expertise and passion for pure audio reproduction. And while audio enthusiasts gladly pay as much as $70,000 for some of Andrew’s designs, you’ll find these new SP-FS51-LR speakers considerably more affordable.
To build the entire Pioneer American Source 5.1-Channel Speaker System as seen above, click on the pictures of the other American Source speakers in the table below!
Thinking Out Of The Box

It’s okay to stare. With true curved cabinet design, not only are the SP-FS51-LR Floor Standing Speakers aesthetically more pleasing, so is the entire listening experience. The high-performance and exceptional sound quality is the result of this stiffer design, which also reduces standing sound waves inside the cabinet.
As a literal example of the term “beautifully engineered”, the elegant and appealing speaker grills on the SP-FS51-LR’s do a superior job of protecting the speaker drivers.
The Inside Story

Much of the competition uses an extremely simple, low-cost cross-over made up of a single capacitor and inductor. The Pioneer SP-FS51-LR utilizes a sophisticated 6 component high-quality cross-over. The reasoning is simple: it’s yet one more way of insuring high-quality, accurate sound that makes its presence known.
