Default Dynaudio 140 vs. PMC TB2i vs. Spendor SP3/1P

I'm not sure if these are directly comparable, but anyone out there could help me out, I'd like to pull the trigger on a set of small monitors today. I'm tired of searching and searching and want to get something in the living room so I don't have to grimace whenever I turn on some sound. I can live with any of these until I settle down with something of more stature.

I can get the latter two thorough Audiogon. I have an opportunity to get a brand new pair of 140's from Dedicated Audio at a fair price.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would really recommend the Dyanduio Focus 140s. For what you describe as your requirements, they are just the ticket.

There is also the advantage that Dyn has North American facility where you can obtain support, repair, warrany, etc. Dynaaudio NA is committed to their customers, so your customer service experience will be top-notch.

Thanks PC. I was leaning in that direction. Just needed a nudge.

So. Done! Pulled the trigger on a pair of rosewood Dynaudio 140's.

Now, need something nice to drive them with (will use my B&K in the meantime). Cables, stands, etc.

Congrats! You'll love them. What's your budget for something to drive them?

I'm trying to keep the total system price under 5. That would be speakers, cables, stand, integrated, DAC, server, etc. I'm trying to figure out how to make a very worthwhile audiophile (my definition, at least) system within that figure. My little quest. I don't think I would be able to do it for less, but if I could, I would.

Do you have an estimate for the integrated? Ball-park guess?
