Kansas: There's Know Place Like Home (Blu-ray Disc, 2009) but it is now like $300 the dvd version is near as good. Heart: Alive in Seattle [Blu-ray] (2008) Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest [Blu-ray] (2012) Last edited by djwhog; 02-19-2013 at 11:19 AM. |

Would anyone care to comment on the newly released Eagles-Farewell Live in Melbourne bluray?

"Concert for George" is excellent.
"Other Side of the Mirror" is very good.

There are certain songs in the Concert for George that my wife and I really loved. A lot of talent in this tribute for George Harrison. |

I still use the Eagles(farewell) dvd to demo my HT.
I find the camera work and audio excellent. My Bluray version should be here next week. I think I prefer it to Jeff Beck(Live at Ronnie Scotts). Probably because there is maybe 6 songs of Jeff's I like and the rest get to crazy for me. Another great Bluray is: Lee Ritenour's Overtime Takes you back to his early years and up to the present. I find the first half hour or so mellow but then picks up. All in all I'm quite impressed. Watching concert videos with the help of a 128" cinema scope screen and Bryston power(28bsst's)gets you pretty close to the there factor and giving me superb kick drum sound is a 1812 giving me the most realistic bottom end that I have heard yet, amazing you are there bottom end. |

My wife is not a fan at all and she has watched it 3 times! I can never recall her singing Eagles songs around the house until now. Joe Walsh steals the show and I don't think Don Henley looks once at Glen Frey-about a 9 out of 10 on the tension scale Rube(quote from the movie The Burbs).
