Bill...I agree that performance is not the only parameter involved (there is aesthetics/visual appeal, there is brand loyalty, there is the pull of faddish popularism, there is price itself, etc...) in a purchasing decision, and that diminishing returns equation involves all these parameters. And even if we simplifiy the diminishing returns equation to just price vs. performance equation, your assessment of a particular piece's performance may and actually will likely be different from mine, so we get further complexity.
On the "order of magnitude" point, I hear you. I guess I used the wrong term. Correct, an order of magnitude difference is unreasonable to expect Geez Bill - I have to be very careful in the use of language around you. You are a stickler for detail (and so you should be ). |
