What I like about the RS is you can add a sub, and it has HDMI.
I wish they had just updated the McAire with better wifi/streaming capabilities and a subwoofer output.

Either that or they find the lifestyle sector profitable enough to scale down production of the high-end products we like.

Hmm, i own a McAire since its release 5 or 6 years ago. It was MADE in the USA! No problems at all and it is in daily use since then.
OK it has not such power than the new RS200 but it‘s solid built and it sounds audiophile you can identify it as a McIntosh product.

Yep.

The Boxster and Cayenne allowed Porsche to continue building and improving the 911.

Yep, the Porsche purists cried foul at the time. SUVs made Porsche the most profitable car company in the world. And allowed it to keep producing world class sports cars along the way.

My iPhone was designed in California and built in China. It works just fine.

I have a big issue with and try to avoid things made in china when possible.

Manufacturers only use made in china because of cheap labor.

Why would McIntosh do this to their USA brand?

Hopefully made in china products will become more expensive for manufacturers to use.

You don’t seem to mind your OPPO player being built in China, no??

Your statement is completely irrelevant and out of context with my dissatisfaction, as McIntosh is an iconic hi-end expensive American brand.
