Roksan make great gear. I once owned the much acclaimed (by the British audio media) Roksan Kandy Mk.III integrated and decided at one point to try an “upgrade” to the Naim 5i integrated. As much as the Naim was a very musical and enjoyable integrated, it could not match the dynamics of the Roksan that was every bit as musical, is better built, and in my view offers better value having a decent built in phono stage. I have since tried a few different components from Roksan and for the money they offer great build quality and excellent performance. I am always surprised that more people are not aware of the value of Roksan – a bit of a sleeper product in my view. Last edited by lakesailor; 10-21-2012 at 09:00 PM. |

Thanks Lakesailor, the Brit press do indeed go nuts for the Naim 5i combo with Neat speakers, and they also go nuts for the Roksan Kandy 2 combo too. And the model above.
I may never recover from my live concert work disinterest in trying to replicate the sounds in me home with top end hi fi,or in this case base camp top end hi fi syndrome, but at least I'm looking, and chaps, it is a genuine interest, I'm not just here for the beer. |
