Wonder if Sophia Electric makes their own 300B? Plus, they have a nice blue envelope as a choice.

Serge - nothing I read there makes me think they are making their own tubes. Am guessing they are "testing, selecting, & branding" their tubes either at the factory in China or over here.

That said, based on all the positive reviews, I rolled in a pair of their clear-glass 6SN7s in the WA6 and immediate expansion of the sound stage and better detail & clarity compared to the reissue Tung-Sol they replaced. Have a 274B inbound, as well.

If Sophia Electric tubes don't light your fire you can try some even more expensive Emission Labs tubes from TubesUSA.com. Wish I had both unlimited time to roll tubes and an unlimited budget with which to purchase them.

Serge - thanks for the Wigwam link. As suspected............ selected, tested and branded from the same factory as TJs. Not a necessarily a bad thing, just something more to know. Their 6SN7s in the WA6 are terrific. Looking forward to the 274B's arrival.

Yep I way love the Sophia Electric™ Princess Mesh 300B, I run one in my 1/2 of my WOO headphone amp WA-6SE.

They truly are great sounding, they even have a few nicer tubes, out of my $$$$ range for 1 tube.

I am sure that those Western 300bs are amazing too, lots of air and separation, dead quiet noise floor too..
