I'm through about 400 so far with the "accurate" method. All downhill for me now. And a big thanks to Albikes for a wonderfully smooth and quick SACD project!!

And of course, I LOVE my Silenzio!!

Randy: The ecstasy lasts forever. I have about 500 CD's on it and so it is now just one at a time. Tomorrow the new Diana Krall arrives. I will say once more that my Silenzio(s) are flawless.

Howard, I was just down in your neck of the woods. What a pretty area! Thanks again for the help.

If we were choosing a place 1,000 times to retire, it would be Naples. We even love the warm summers (AC and a Pool helps). Our home is always open for an AA member to listen to music and enjoy Val's gourmet cooking.

Man, I hate break-in! The USB port on the K-01 was unused until last night, as was the USB cable, as was the Shunyata MPC-12, as was the Venom HC power cord. I know it is just a matter of time, but I have no patience.

So right now it is just a bit "stiff" although it also seems just a bit bigger. I played the Yes album "Close to the Edge" through both Silenzio/USB and the CD tray of the K-01. Straight CD is currently slightly better, BUT the CD port and Filters have about 700 hours on them and the USB port only has two. Basically, it is way too early to tell.

By the way, we are talking subtle distinctions of greatness here. Raw and right out of the box the Silenzio sounds outstanding as a source.

I will say this is a great community here... HK was kind enough to stay up late to let me remote in to compare the US-drivers to the .JP drivers from Esoteric. Thankfully a quick RTFM of the Esoteric manual yieded the result we needed - changing the USB input mode on the K-01 (as well as filters and upsampling, but that is more for sq rather than bare functionality).

And crwilli, too... >

Randy,

Recommendation from CA and JPLAY forums.

Connect the Silenzio with CAT 6 directly to your NAS if possible. (No router or switch)
