Haswell still has waking issues. And no low wattage processors are available yet from any sort of reputable supplier. The 'bypass audio' comment is not entirely accurate.

Clients are always recommended some sort of UPS for the NAS. In this case it was a little APC unit on a 5 minute graceful shutdown with auto-restart on power resume.

The unit in this build is the 213+.

IC...but is the waking issue because of non-Haswell-compatible power supplies? I think one can disable C6/C7 state for that. None of the ones I've built for clients had issues (...so far...touch wood). But yeah, on the now S or T stock on the CPU yet.

Anyhoo, way cool on what you're doing! Enjoy.

I've built just one Haswell... so far no issues. (it's only been in use for a couple weeks.)

Unlikely. Risk of damage, not to mention import/export issues leave me overly cautious.

However I can still consult to provide a customized spec/build list for an out-of-US DIYer.

What software are you using to add your Blu Ray Disks to your NAS? How are they stored? Image, ISO,?

Thanks.

There are several different ways, but personally, AnyDVD-HD and JRiver are usually my two go-to pieces.
