Aah, The Anticipation must be getting to you.

Thanks, Jim. It was hard work.

I think if I didn't get a week with the D2s on this (finally) optimized system, I wouldn't truly appreciate the Soph3s. But yes, I'm going nuts (and fortunately going to the baseball game in a bit with my 7 year old boy).

OK, so my wife asked me if I could hide the cables. After 12 years of marriage she is still asking me to hide the cables?

EDIT: funny, maybe she was right. After looking at the two photos I saw a couple of power cables dipping too close to the speaker wires and have adjusted accordingly. I also cleaned up the cable box's mess a tad. LOL, the cable box is honored by it's very own isolated circuit on the Hydra. Got to isolate that wonderful piece of electronics.

AeroSmith...looking very nice. Enjoy the current set-up but hopefully the Sophia 3s will take you to the next level in this already lovely system. Congrats!

Aerosmith.......That wall mounted turntable shelf is attractive. Who makes that?

AeroSmith.......nice looking set-up

It looks like you got the Sunoko-Vent T racks.....I was considering them at one time.

Yes, the Sunoko-Vent is a very attractive and highly configurable rack system. I'm also considering this rack.

Thanks guys.

I've been using the Q-spire stuff for a couple of years now. I just replaced one of their QAVMs with the three SVTs. The QAVM was bowing under the weight of the gear (no middle column on a double wide stand). The new SVTs are solid as a rock. Look good too. Yep, that's the q-spire TT stand. I covered the back of the metal plate with felt before mounting it on the wall (stud finder critical here if you like your TT).

Cyrill, I have no doubt that many speakers could take me to the next level. That said, we're still keeping a pair of D2s in the bedroom. And I believe the Family Room D2s are already spoken for. Good speakers those D2s. Just too small for this particular application is all.

MAXX3s for the game room should be arriving by truck today or tomorrow. So why is it all I think about are Soph3s?

BTW, here's what this system used to look like.

The old stand, minus the top shelf, is now a very attractive coffee table in my office.

The drooling will start shortly after you post the first photos.

LOL, I think they make their finishes drool proof. No way I'm unpacking the MAXX3s until my friend/dealer gets here on Sunday. The Soph3s on the other hand: I may be able to handle (don't tell anybody at Wilson). They should be here this week... sometime.

My next job is to disassemble and re-assemble the game room system to get it ready for the MAXX3s. Shoot, I'm still sore from rebuilding this system.

AeroSmith...if your friend/dealer is an authorized Wilson dealer (as it sounds he is), you should let him follow the Wilson set-up protocol for both speakers (not just the Maxxs) as both speakers will benefit from precise placement to get the best out of them. Enjoy both systems. So the PH6, Lyra Delos, Rega P9, ARC DAC 8, Boulder pre, and ARC DS450 will be in the Maxx rig in the game room? Which system will you be doing your prime 2-channel listening in? I am assuming the Maxx system.
