The GL are much quieter which is most obvious when using the phono stage compared to the stock tubes

Tube rolling is worth it for sure. I think you need to try a few different ones to see what you like.
Some RCA Black plate 12AX7's might be nice.
Some Mullard 12AT7's have a nice warm sound.
Tung Sol's might surprise you.
Penta KT88's sound pretty nice.
The Genalex reissues are very good, but not the only game in town, and tube rolling should happen more than once to see what you might be missing - in my opinion anyway.

About 3 weeks ago I change my 100 hours stock line stage tubes of my C2300 to a pair of GL Super Cryo. I immediately noticed the diff. I also have a pair of Teles (1950) that I would use after I listen to the GL for 100 hours. Any thought on the telefunken tubes?

At the moment I am using a MC275LE with stock tubes. On the tubestore you can buy a whole set of GL FOR RIGHT OVER $500. Is this a good option for me?

Not really. If you are a subscriber to AA which costs $25 for a year; there is a fellow AA member who sells only to AA subscribers Gold Lion reissues. Don't quote me, but I believe he sells a quad of KT88's for $195 and each 12volt tube is around $34 each. That would total roughly $433 (not including shipping) for a complete set for a MC275.

Here's the link to subscriber details:

It's like comparing a nice dry aged porterhouse steak to ground beef, no comparison really, at least to my ears.

I changed the factory tubes in my mc275 to GLs. As previously noted, no comparison whatsoever.

On top of it, this aforementioned AA member (you know who you are ) tests each tube personally so you will be getting as close a matched set as possible (and sends you the results as well...) Just another great bonus for being a subscriber here!

Didn't really listen to the stock tubes but my GL reissues are sounding nice in my MC2301's.
