Granite 864sr
I'm looking to upgrade my integrated amp . Found a pair of the granite 864sr monoblocks think they are demos. And for well under $4k which is the range I'm looking at. These have volume control which would allow me to run from my phono pre right to them without having to buy a preamp right now. Which means I can spend more on the amps.
Can't find much info anywhere on these amps except through granite. Does anyone have any experience with these amps??? I already have granite speaker cables and interconnects. Which made a difference in my system immediately , not even close to broken in yet. Just wondering. And any under 4k (used) tube amps that have volume control recommendations would be great . Thanks for any info. |

Nobody ??? Oh well . That's what makes me worried about buying em.
If they were that good someone would be running them. There are a ton of amps in the same price range . Guess ill buy a cheap pre so I don't have to worry about volume |

petro85.......Just doing a casual search, it doesn't appear there has been any activity relating to the Granite 864SR since CES 2005. The amplifiers look to be completely hand built. Granite Audio shows the new 2012 version of this amplifier on their website that lists for $7500.00 a pair. They offer 30 day in-home auditions. Thanks I have heard all the equip I've been buying lately through these amps as they are the shop amps where I usually shop. I was just wondering if anyone had any lengthy experience with them besides the guy who's going to make money off me buying them . Lol he loves em.
Thank you for the help . |
