Dan, this looks more like fun, fun, fun than work, work, work to me :-). Great set-up.

Below is a recent picture of me pursuing my 'new' hobby (where Leica is to photography what McIntosh is to audio - I am drooling after the new Leica M9 but it's going to be a few months before it's widely available. In the meantime I am enjoying an ancient (2005) Leica Digilux 2.)

Cyril, that was in Mauritius last December. We went on a walk with two lions and then got to go in and pet the cheetahs after.

Alberto........What a great photo. You are becoming quite creative. That photo almost looks like a movie poster for a new Bond flick. Very cool.

Nice pictures of both of you. I agree with Dan, very creative Alberto. So Alberto you made a pledge to not change anything in your stereo system for the rest of the year which is only a few weeks away. Anything new on the radar screen ?

Thanks.

You guys have an amazing memory. But yes, I "pledged" not to change anything until the end of the year and - with just 10 days or so to go - I think I've made it. It was easy, once my system was dialed in to my liking - what I call the "delicious sound" - I did not feel compelled to make more changes. The focus switched easily from equipment to music.

Lest you think that I took shortcuts or that I am too easy to please, I should point out that I have 2+ years and several $10Ks invested - as some of you know. As a friend of mine said when I mentioned that I was satisfied with my system: "Gee, let's see, 1,000W of McIntosh amplification, top of the line monitor speakers, a $8000 DAC, dedicated lines, power conditioning, etc. - yes, you are easy to please."

Of course, compared to some people on this forum, this set up is worthy of - perhaps - a pantry .

I must admit that not having to research and chat about audio left a bit of a hole, that's probably why I rekindled my interest in photography. But I have yet to find a group of online pals like you guys.

Alberto

I am so glad to have found this thread and to see what some of you Audio Wizards look like. I am attaching a recent photo of me, telling some folks about my Sonus Faber Mementos. . . . .

I'm really glad someone started this thread up again. Click on the thumbnail to make the picture bigger - - - Which brings up a question - how does one post larger pictures, such as the one posted by jdandy and alberto a couple of posts above this one?

I've tried to post bigger pictures but they always appear as thumbnails.
