I saw these on sale in 2012 in Shanghai at a newly opened Harmon International store for over $100,000. Bet you they sold in a month... They wouldn't play them... Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado

Yes, it appears that the market over there has strong interest in the JBL legacy that dominated the studios from the late 70's through the early 90's. Chances are every major recording had been checked through a JBL Monitor system. So with that heritage and the brand name the math is simple for creating a market. There are still new JBL speakers that made today that hark back to the days, but MUCH less than the synthesis line-up. There is lots of money to be had in HiFi in China.
I'd also like to add that the Yamaha NS-10m is also "studio standard" that most recordings are checked on. However, they are legitimately a compromised design that translates well, sonically, to the many speaker systems that are pushed to the masses. |

If you read the specs on the DD67000 they note the output sags around 3.4 db with 500 watt input. So the the speaker stays linear at lower levels. So I imagine a 302 or 452 would be more than adequate. Maybe 301 or 2301 would be a nice choice.

I'd go for real test and evaluation data over any JBL Specs. But I see your point.
