ARC has a known problem with Apple right now. Talk to Kalvin Dahl at ARC.

This may be a bit of a long shot but could help if one loves the sound of their ARC; you may want to see if you can audition those USB 'bridge' cables such as from Halide Design/Audiophilleo/etc.
The cheapest may be the Halide Design but still several hundred dollars/pounds (but it is a complete solution meaning cables and bridge conversion) S/PDIF Bridge | USB to SPDIF cable | USB DDC Audiophilleo2 - low jitter USB SPDIF transport, converter Note; You will need to check the specs though and your needs, as an example the Halide only does up to 96khz. These would mean using USB on the Macbook to S/PDIF on the CD or DAC. But long shot and worth checking it does what you need if nothing else is working for you. Cheers and good luck Orb Last edited by Orb; 08-03-2015 at 11:46 AM. |
