Ok, so I made a big mistake by going to Ivan's party at the Cape. I really thought I was just going to meet some great people from AA and extend my Florida vacation to get some Spectaular Lobster Rolls!

But now that I heard all of the great songs that were spun in Ivan's play rooms... I want to do the same with my HT room.

I am the newbie when it comes to this stuff as I don't see how say the Silenzio and say an Escoteric K03-X work together. Don't laugh to hard but I had to look up the difference between a CD player and a CD transport player. So yes, I'm new to this arena.

My goal is instead of going to my office and surfing the web would be go to my HT and listen to my favorite songs. And occasionally surfing the web either with my iPad or maybe a small desk top and getting to enjoy hearing my Aerials in action at the same time.

I would like to expand my music collection as well, but besides buying CD's I am clueless on ripping and what ever else goes along with it. I would also like to take my favorite songs and put them on to disks to enjoy the Burmester stereo in my car. But of course I would want it in the lossless format. Can the Silenzo do that... Take some of my favorite songs from different CD's and put them on a blank disk with high resolution...

And yes I am a Mac guy. Will this hider this gig as I read in a previous thread this is all windows based...

So as usual, I'm always the last to the party when it comes to the latest and greatest. But I am very interest in learning more on the Silenzio. And Ivan's Esoteric K03-X has my attention as well. It's just a shame that I have champagne taste and a beer budget...

Guess it is time to go to work and earn some more money!

Is there anyone in The Wodlands with the Silenzio or in North Houston. Or maybe a video on Utube so I can learn more about this product and what it actually does. I have gone through and read this entire thread and started on the Esoteric section for the first time as well. Yeah I know, I'm in trouble now... Never a good idea to hang out there if your trying not to spend money.

Damn you Ivan... I was perfectly content with my little HT and had no plans on upgrading...

I would be happy to talk to you live about what I do and enjoy with the Silenzio and my K03x. I think I can answer many of your questions.

Send PM if interested. Of course, Emile is the man who can answer ALL your questions!

Jim,

PM me a good time to talk. All of your concerns are easily addressed, and then some. After looking at your HT the only thing I can say is: you are ripe for a Silenzio and K03x. Once you go down this route, you'll never look back. In fact, you'll wonder how you ever existed without it.

-E

edit: Silenzio is Krug on a Chandon budget. K03x is Krug on a Grand Siecle budget. lol!

E,

I think you and Ivan are from the same mold... Ivan tells me, " Jim... you need Stillpoints under your Aerials.... Their just a mere $1800..."
Like one would just run out to buy a pack of gum... I think I have been double teamed by two of the best!

I am laying over in Sacramento... But yes we should talk at some point... But maybe I need to play the lotto or knock up a local bank before I make that call...

Jim, not to pile on, but you need Stillpoints under those Aerials.

Jim, to be more helpful, I re-read your goal and it sounds like what I am doing right now. Think of Silenzio/NAS and Esoteric K-03X as replacing your Sony CD Player and you got it. It is a big, big upgrade. You can do it in two bites, first K-03X, then add Silenzio, but then you lose the discounts. The Stillpoints can come later. Only you can decide if the money makes sense. I can tell you that my Silenzio/K-01 combo sounds epic.

Randy,

Thanks... I am sure it will sound better. But you never know but how much per the cost. There are a lot of variables between my room then say Ivan's. He is using all Esoteric equipment, WW cables etc. I will be using my Mac amps and an Anthem D2V. My cables will stay the same as the lengths are long. It is a big and expensive move. But it would be great to use the room more often as I primarily just us it for HT...
