Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home
Probably in ‘66 or ‘67. I still have it, but the original sounds pretty scruffy now, I played the crap out of it on my dad’s KLH “portable record player.” I wrote a paper on “Mr. Tambourine Man” for my sophomore high school English class, in which I’m pretty sure I completely misinterpreted the lyrics.

It's funny..
It's funny, I never got into the Beatles.
I'm not sure why, I just was never exposed to them. With my new HiFi setup I promised I would rectify this. It just becomes overwhelming when a band has such a large and varying catalog. Debating where I should even start. |

Bought my first record - what was yours?

No, but I know I was surprised later to learn that the Tambourine man was a dealer - at the age of 14 I was still clueless about such things.

Gregory Isaacs-Out Deh. My youth was the glorious transition from Jamaican Reggae to Dancehall. A golden period from a small island, the very best of 'pop' music at the time.

My first record was a 45 and I bought two. Beatles Hey Jude and Revolution; CCR Down on the Corner and
Fortunate Son.

Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy, on the same day, plus a black Led Zeppelin T-shirt with the funky lettering that made my mother think I was listening to devil worship music.
Saved all summer for that. |

I’m probably going to regret saying this, but I bought my first record when I was a kid back in 1977 and it was the Star Wars soundtrack. I wasn’t really into music yet but I was into Star Wars.
