I have increased the output capacitance from the original 10microfarad to 30microfarad. 10 from the factory Teflon & 20 from the Stealth caps.

This is done specifically to address the lack of bass issue when matched with my Gryphon Mephisto which has a lowish input of 20K ohm as opposed to the ARC norm of 100K for their power amps.
Thanks - they were formerly unobtainable and only available to manufacturers.

No guess work involved.

Nice. so for 20k input impedance 3.9uF capacitor is required for optimal frequency response down to 20Hz. I believe ARC is typically using higher capacitance than required considering that 20k is minimum recommended input impedance.

One could consider V-Cap CuTF for extreme performance level, so using 4uF capacitance by paralleling 4*1uF capacitors for each output, total amount of capacitors is 16 pcs at $328/piece for total amount of $5248

Yes I used the V Cap calculator. However, based on that, 10 microfarad should be more than enough. So, I think Gryphon's input impedance is either overstated or there is some other interaction that I am not smart enough to figure out.

Anyway, adding the additional 20micro farad for the case of Gryphon has improved things quite a bit - although still cannot beat the Naim Statement in the bass department

Source 2 - Avid Acutus SP reference + Thales Reference tone arm + Benz Micro LPS (DS Audio Master 1 broken tip repaired but cost me USD2k. Still having issues - channel imbalance - back to dealer. However, channel issues not withstanding, sounded very very nice. Need to get it back soonest)

Source 3 - DCS Vivaldi + Antelope reference clock or Cybershaft Op18 (not floating my boat so far)

Source 5 - ROON ROCK with Aurender W20 as NAS & 2 units of SOTM switch with 10M input (the new frontier but still cannot beat CD for now) - ROON endpoint - Vivaldi upsampler

Amplification - Naim Statement

Speakers - ProAc Carbon 8 + JL FM113 x2 (replacement purchased - Stella Utopia EVO but due to lockdown, could be a year's wait)

Purepower 2000 x 2 (&$@#% but
sounds nice)

joeling,

I'm wondering if the improved bass performance is more of a result of the sonic signature of the Stealth caps as opposed to the added capacitance. Either way I'm glad it is an improvement for you.
