I would consider output impedance, NFB and output current capacity more meaningful. Anyways what counts is how it sounds, right?

Completely agree. I think both amps must sound quite similar. I am trying to figure out, comparing just the power amplifier side of Ref75SE and GSi75, which one has the edge to better drive my B&W803D?

And happy new year

Wondering if anyone can confirm whether or not the Galileo series use Teflon capacitors or not?

Thanks. I have never been a fan of AR because of the Teflon cap sound. I auditioned the Galileo GSPre and really loved the sound. Maybe this is why??!

For me there are two killers in the design (my ears prefer the 'fast' sonics of PTFE coupling caps, so those are OK). First, I don't care for a built-in DAC and digital this & that which I don't/won't use. Why pay for something I don't want/need. Second, I don't care for the 6H30 tube due to the lack of choices on suppliers. Am a tube roller and you have exactly two makers of the tube (assuming they are not just branded differently from the same factory in Russia). NOS 6H30s are available for $300/tube, or so. Made for the USSR military when cost was not object and they had best not fail. That's a bit steep for tube rolling. Too bad, as it meets my requirement of being made in NA. The search for a new integrated continues.
