I think ARC has a real winner with the GSi75.

Thread titles like this and ones that are similar are anticlimactic when opened. When I see a thread title like GSi75 Review I think I am about to read an owners review of a new component. These type of thread titles should read something like GSi75 Review in newest issue of HiFi Magazine. Clicking on the thread title and find nothing more than a comment to go look somewhere else is disappointing, especially when I am hoping to read a member's actual review of said component.

The reviewer seems to have misinformation in the Galileo line as he said it was below the Reference It's actually alongside the Reference line with the GS150 slightly above the Ref150SE (stiffer chassis, shorter wiring paths) and the GS preamp below the Ref 5SE. Not the first misinformation I've read in a review!

And here is the mentioned review for GSi75!
http://www.absolutesounds.com/pdf/ma...N1215_4web.pdf

As mentioned before in this thread, KK´s positioning of this product below Reference does bother me also, while his comments later on for GSi75 are outstanding. What I don´t get, if Ref75 has 520 Joules power reserve, and GSi75 only 350 Joules, how come GSi75 drive his Alexias much better than Ref75? I am still puzzled as to which is the better way for me, to replace my ARC VT100mkIII power amp with Ref75 SE or with GSi75, to drive my B&W803D...

PSU capacitance is only a power reserve, it does not directly mean anything outputwise.
I would consider output impedance, NFB and output current capacity more meaningful. Anyways what counts is how it sounds, right?
