Default Fuse

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this and maybe I should write to the factory instead but does anyone know what is the fuse ratings/size/Slow Blow or Fast Blow/spec for ARC Ref CD9 and 5SE? I am considering upgrading the fuses to Hi-Fi Tuning Supreme fuses...

It's normally mentioned in the back plate of the equipment or simply check rating from the original fuse.

Default Hi Fi Tuning Supreme

Did you find out from ARC what Hi Fi fuse you should use?

Try the SR. RED fuse. Much better than the HFT Supremes. I've used both in all my equipment and the RED outperformed the Supreme each time. More natural with larger sound stage and deeper bass. There are multitudes other improvements as well.

It rather depends upon the consumer supply in your country, for instance Ref150 in the U.S. Is fitted out with an 7Amp 110w slow blow, however an UK supplied Ref150 sports a 4Amp 240w slow blow.

Has anyone had luck maintaining an audiophile fuse in ARC gear? I have tried it a few times and the HiFi Tuning fuses always blew after a short period of time. I learned that the tolerances are tighter than the stock fuses so they will blow with normal use. Even increasing the amperage of the HiFi fuse didn't help. At $50 a fuse, this costs way too much when the fuse only lasts a few days.

Try Synergistic Red fuses. I have good reports from friends with various different amps. I have one in my Moon 700i now; previous fuse was HiFiTuning. (Just seen Oddeophile's post)

That is strange...I changed out to hifi tuning supreme as per original ratings and haven't had any glitch at all.

I use fuses hifi, on all my computers and have never had any problems . In Ref 150 use Furutech.
By the way, we could tell how it evolves the sound of your upgrade to SE.
