Amps plug straight to the wall. Each on their own 20A circuit.
Rack components plug into a Denali. (Also on a dedicated 20A circuit.)

Not your standard Home Depot plugs. These look to be from Radio Shack.

My amps go through the wall. Everything else my p10.

My theory is that autoformer amps really do a good job storing current and don’t need regenerated power.

I can imagine if you have every dirty power it may make a difference though.

I have plugged all my equipments (C2300, MC550, 2x M601) to my MPC1500. Everything work fine. No dynamic limitations (always under 3A) even during a very loudly session (amps between 6 to 60W).
The sound seems to be better with my MPC1500 compared directly plugged into the wall.

Default To the Wall!

Yep, I would go direct to the wall.

But would also make a small investment in time to make sure all your connections are good all the way from meter to that outlet. And reset your ground connection while you're at it, either at the rod or the cold water pipe. And if you dont have a better-than-builder-spec outlet, I'd at least get a Hubble hospital grade in there.

And of course if you have any doubts about working around electricity that can kill you-- have a pro do it.

I believe I remember Ron C. saying McIntosh suggests straight into the wall socket, on a dedicated 20 amp line.
For my system (living on the northern Gulf of Mexico coast) I am concerned about windstorms and the accompanying thunderstorms and lightening.
So - I run everything through at least three levels of "filtering". I have Brick Wall units plugged into dedicated 20 amp line, then to industrial dual conversion power supplies, then through a second Brick Wall befor going to the power strip for the components.
I believe McIntosh recommends straight into the wall because most "power conditioner" units do not have sufficient capacity for transient peaks. That is why I use 3000VA dual conversion power supplies. That, plus I do NOT appreciate music that is too loud, gives my amps plenty of "headroom."
Having said that, I can see that 1.2k or 2k power amps could easily out-do anything short of a 6,000 VA double conversion unit.
