You need to get with the program and buy you a Bryston BDP-3. Physical media is no longer in vogue or practical. All my CDs are now imported .aiff files which are uncompressed and sound better than the music played on my Sony XA-5400ES CD player.

Eventually I'll get there but for now I'm happy browsing and playing music from my compact disc music library.

Carlos, nothing wrong with a good CD library!

I’ve had a few good CD transports in the days. Now bdp 2 and bot. Bot is incredible! No jitter, bit for bit transfer. Most of my cds backed up now. Some CD content just not on internet as uncompressed.

I have about two thousand CDs and I can access all of them on USB drives plugged in my BDP-2 (soon to be BDP-3) at the touch of my finger through my phone or computer with the sound being audibly better than my CD. I'd even try to swing for a used BDP-2. It is indispensable.

Hi Folks

We have a review on the BCD-3 CD payer coming out shortly in The Absolute Sound Magazine that deals with this very subject.

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT: Bryston BDA-3 DAC – Customer Germany

Hi James,

I thought it over and just could not resist. I finally ordered the last BDA3 that was available at Avitech in Vienna. That should be it for the next 10 years 😊

James, it sounds fantastic!

I compared a Mytek, T+A, Sugden, Violectric and the Bryston BDA3. The Bryston is by far the best. Also nice: older recordings do sound good. With the T+A these not-ideal recordings cannot be heard at all. A lot of money – but I am very happy with the DAC.

Merry Xmas!
Holger
