Upgraded SATA Cable for Music Servers?
I noticed some while ago that there are some audio grade SATA cables and I am curious to know if someone had tried those. I never suspected a SATA cable could be upgraded for better audio but here we are. I have a SSD hard drive inside my Bryston BDP-2 and the cable used is just a standard cable. I wonder up to which extent the audio could be improve by upgrading that cable.

The SATA 3.2 standard uses differential signaling and shielded co-linear cabling to reduce interference so it would make sense that a cable upgrade may improve the audio quality. There is a boatload of error correction built into the SATA standard so there will be the standard blowback. Worth a shot if you can return the cable if it doesn’t make a difference.
