To tell you the truth, I don't think it makes any difference in sound. The hospital grades just made me feel better and they do hold a little tighter than standard. You don't want a heart-lung machine unplugging.


BTW you do want the GROUND PIN ON TOP--not for the sound, but for the gripping ability [the ground pin is longer than the others] and for short circuit prevention.
