EH Gold Pin 6922- GLKT77- CAV 45 S2: An Appreciation
Hello Folks,
I recently replaced the very tired vintage Sylvania 6922 with one of Upscale "Kevin's Stash" EH gold pin tubes. After about 48 hours my little CAV 45 S2 control amp is singing a much sweeter and detailed tune. The sound stage in my 11' wide listening room is wider, deeper, and much more "holographic." I'm also running Gold Lion KT77's- thus giving the Mullard EL34's a rest. I am liking what I'm hearing very, very much. I can't say which tubes made the biggest improvement, but I suspect it's the 6922. Thank you CJ and Mr. Jeff Fischel, Gold Lion, EH, and Mr.Kevin. Best, P |

Always been pleased with any reissue Gold Lion (KT88, KT77, EL84 & 12AX7) & EH (KT88) tubes I've used . Same with my CJ ET3SE & Classic 60SE. Jeff has always answered any inquiries in a reasonable fashion.

I ran GL KT88's most of the time in my vintage mono amps. Very nice indeed. I may pick up a GL 6922 for my little CJ. Would that Jeff could clone himself at least once. He's helped me too, even with non-urgent matters, in spite of his busy schedule. |
