Output level meter are always the same for both channel?
Can I check with u guys if the output level meters for both channel are always at the same level for preamp and power amp?
I was using the C2600 preamp with MC 501 and I don't have any memories that both channel has different readings. I just changed to C1100 few days back and I just realized that both meter readings are about 1/2 bar difference which seems to be affect the amp meters as well. Kindly advise? Thank u. |

I think it depends. The meters on the pre-amp are going to indicate what is going on with the input signal. So, if the input signal is the same in both channels, they should be equal. if the meters on the pre-amp are the same, the same should follow at the power amps.
A good test would be to run a mono signal into your system. That way, you are making sure the same exact signal is going in. Meters should match. If they don't, maybe you should have them calibrated or look into how to adjust yourself if you are handy |

I had a problem with the meters on the left side were always about a bar higher than the right side. I thought I had a problem with my amp until someone on this forum gave me the wise advice of swapping the L and R XLR cables. Then the right side was always a bar higher. I brought the defective cable back to Audioquest dealer and they replaced it a couple weeks later. Not sure this is relevant to you.
