BTW, it was a pain to turn on the Bluetooth aptX option on the Mac. I had to download the Bluetooth Explorer application from the Apple Developers site. It did help the sound a little. The iOS devices unlike Android don’t even support it. Best Bluetooth they can currently stream is using their AAC. You can see how you like the Bluetooth sound but make sure the device streaming has aptX turned on, otherwise, it would leverage it. Don’t know much about the HD version which may sound even better.

Dave -- I checked out Ken Rockwell's review at "https://kenrockwell.com/audio/cambridge/dacmagic-plus.htm#meas" and it looks outstanding! I wonder if anybody knows if the Cambridge Audio Azur DacMagic 100 that he mentions as a cheaper, stripped-down version is equally good at the basic functions?

Or perhaps the resampling and digital filtering incorporated in the Plus model is sufficiently important in reducing jitter that it makes the more expensive model a no-brainer? -- Clark2

Dave -- Now you have me review surfing: Just out of curiosity, any reason you didn't mention the newer Topping offerings (e.g., E30 or D50S)? They also have USB inputs as well as optical and coax, and they seem to have considerably better specs for lower prices. -- Clark2
