Nice photos as well. This is more or less the type of system I'm aspiring to. Fairly minimal, showcasing the components as they deserve to be (as opposed to hiding them to satisfy...well, I won't go there, but we all know this battle that sometimes gets waged within a household). I'll post photos of my modest (and admittedly temporary) setup once I figure out how to get the images hosted, but you will see very clearly that this type of configuration is exactly where I'm pointed. It will take several more years and much saving to get there, but this is my passion, and I'm very excited to have established the beachhead with my new integrated amp.

Congratulations on building a true dream of a system and having put so much thought into the visual aspect. It's something you should be very proud of, and I can't even imagine how great it must sound. Those speakers are worth more than my bloody car!
Stunning pictures

My latest update which is a new Galaxy Grey Thor's Hammer to match my XVX. My new Hammer uses the third generation X material and is simply a better sub all the way around than my 10 year old Hammer which was a demo. The significantly improved sonics prove it.

Best

Beautiful Charles. Good thing those Amps are heavy or that Hammer might blow them away! You have a very nice system.

Hmmm...never thought of that, maybe I'll move the amps out some?? Just kidding. Seriously, with this system I have slightly less less quantity of bass in the 35-60Hz range than systems in the past. I have much better balance in the overall sound. The quality of the bass is stunning.

I feel sorry for that system. Kind of like when you see someone drive off in a high end sports car knowing they will never drive it on a race track.

But they've been driven like a race car in a circuit, why wouldn't they be?

Thanks guys for the comments. This system sounds great at very significantly lower sound pressures/levels than I used to listen to. The sound is so relaxed and easy and "there". Sometimes I turn it up, however. Knowing I can if I want to makes a difference.

I was reading a review of the 1.25KW and the bass guitar was mentioned on "Man IN the Long Black Coat" off the Oh Mercy album by Bob Dylan. He's my favorite poet so I downloaded and listened. It's great to finally have a system that can assess a comment like this. I waited a long time. About 40 years.

Best

Charles

Oh Mercy is one of my favorite Dylan albums and the fidelity on LP is fantastic - truly reference quality.
