Default Accuphase Class A and Magico

Hello everyone,

I’m so impressed. All the beautiful Accuphase systems I see here. Just incredible.

A few weeks ago I have tested an Accuphase E-550 on Magico S1. I was looking for a more lucid and involving sound than I was getting from my Karan amp combined with my Magico’s.

The Magico’s are a tough load and a lot of people say they need loads of power. So a class A Accuphase with just 30 watts was quite a gamble. But it worked! And it worked very well indeed!

Today I received the amplifier at home. And I could not be happier. The Accuphase has absolutely no problems with the Magico’s and the combination is just stunning.

So if you have a chance to try your Magico’s with Accuphase, I highly recommend you do. For me it’s a perfect combination.

Anyone else here that heard or owns a combination of Magico with Accuphase?

Congratulations. I am a big fan of Magico and had not thought to combine them with Accuphase (of which I am also a big fan). Enjoy (and stay tuned - there will be a new (used) e650 for sale here soon.

Be safe.

I have played with Magico V3's and Accuphase class A integrateds for years, it works very well, but to get the last out of the low frequencies of the V3's, a bit more power was needed.

I have an A-75 and Magico S7's playing and making perfectly beautiful music together. Love the pairing and have had no problems driving the S7's to concert hall levels, though i don't pay them loud at all, normally.
Glad you're enjoying your Accuphase/Magico system as well.

Not Magico, but I am driving YG Carmel 2 with accuphase A75 beautifully. I believe accuphase can drive your S1 beautifully as well.[emoji16]
Aim to upgrade my accuphase preamp in the future.

Thanks for the kind words.
I suspect cables, accessories and speakers will come and go but the one constant that will always be there for me is Accuphase electronics. I have no desire to own any other brand, It's the amplification end of line for me.
