ceramics speakers

I like very much the ceramic speaker.

yes Marten is a good Brand but in Europa a lot of others brand are very very better!!! I dont understand whay in Usa you dont have notice from :

Tidal TIDAL - from the AMEA to the PIANO: we build emotions.
Isophon (now Gauder) GAUDER AKUSTIK - Arabba
Estelen X-series » - Estelon -

Avalon and much other.

example: Tidal produce a speaker on request. You make a order: handmade, chioce the color, if you will a diamnd or ceramic tweeter,..... amazing sound & finished!!!
Why in Usa this brand ar not appreciated??

And go see this link! you can have what YOU will!
accuton® Carefully selected loudspeaker drivers. |*Drivers

the Marten Coltrane are another level (see too the price) but a Django XL at any change vs. a Isophon Cassianos or Tidal entry level piano cera!!!

Kharma are too amazing speakers but not present in the Usa market...

Cool, I will have to put a blurb in there about the Marten Coltrane Alto's..

@Kreg, I agree with your comments, especially in regard to the virtues of Avalon. For example, the new Compas is using even newer BCC ceramic drivers than Tidal, including the latest graphite-coated CELL concept drivers from Accuton. Also fyi, Avalon also hand-make speakers to order in your choice of finish, and with Compas, either ceramic or diamond tweeter. And Avalon's speakers are subject to robust quality assurance at each step of the manufacturing process, from careful matching of drivers to final testing and inspection procedures. With Avalon, you are a client, not a customer.

Cheers,
David.

Marten is a level up vs Avalon.

Avalon
after a year he abandoned this system because the rupture of their speakers was too expensive with spare parts and many customers after spending 20-30k. euro for a pair of avalon and a lot of problems has abandoned the mark.

Tidal works very well and plays excellently!

Compare a Tidal from 15k. euro vs. a Marten from 80k. euro have no sense...

the Maten Django xl are not at the level (in sound & construction quality) from Tidal!!

Raidho, I own Marten Coltranes and have heard Avalon's mid-range speakers. I will say this, they (Avalon) are beautifully made with care and attention to detail. Avalon have taken a leap forward with new speakers including the Compas Diamond and Tesseract (from which the new advanced drivers are filtered down). And actually, for Compas Avalon are using newer model graphite-coated drivers than Tidal.

Marten is a level up on Avalon? The comparative speaker price-wise in the Marten line is the Bird 2. Bird 2 is using older, less sophisticated Accuton drivers, lighter less sohpisticated cabinets and use more "off the shelf" parts compared to the Compas Diamond. I've heard the Bird 2's a few times & preferred the sound of the Avalon Transcendents (two models down from the base model Compas). Btw, my Dealer stocks both speakers and to me the Compas Diamond was a no brainer, and about $18k cheaper than the Contriva Diacera SE. The Compas Diamond is a spectacular sounding speaker! The Marten Coltranes otoh are a different kettle of fish & are amazing

Marten Django L-$8900
Marten Django XL-$15,000
Tidal Piano Cera-$23,990

Why compare...? Tidal is priced much higher than Marten.

I can say is a person taste.

the new / last tech is the best? uhmmm...

I have more at one freind that had Avalon but too a lot of problem with the old model with fully ceramics part....and now they are go with other speakers...

The Avalon can be a very speaker without soul!!! of course the electronics have a very important "influence" to have a good result!!

the Marten & Avalon models as you mentioned are high class / high-level not entry level.

If I compare a Marten django XL vs a Tidal Piano Cera for my taste tehe Tidal is much better.

The Avalon Compas is sure a great speaker. I dont have listen but reading the specification have a great companent inside: the Avalon Compas diamond in Europa is priced Euro. 62'000.-
well, not peanuts.

The Coltranes are very good over this point i agree.

I really like steak much better than lobster. In fact, I don't like lobster at all. Have never felt a need to go to a seafood forum and discuss the merits and personal preference of steak.

If you like Tidal...great!. Perhaps one day a Tidal forum may exist.
